Software Updates

Instructions:

• Download the appropriate ZIP archive using the buttons above and unzip it to a temporary folder. Software updates also include the latest IACP Conforming Products List, so there is no need to download both files for your product.
• In PRO-TECT or dbiCertify, back up your databases, then be sure the software is shut down.
• Open the temporary folder in Windows Explorer.  If you are updating PRO-TECT, double-click ‘PTUpdate.exe’; if you are updating dbiCertify, double-click ‘dbiUpdate.exe’.
• Follow the instructions on the screen.  It is strongly recommended that you leave the check box named ‘Save Backup Copies of All Files’ ticked – this saves a copy of all the files that are being overwritten so that you can go back to your previous version if you have any problems after the update.
• If you have any problems with the update or the operation of the software thereafter, contact dB Innovations technical support.
